Policy : The “Bioinformatics Trends” is managed by two executive bodies namely ‘Editorial board’ and the ‘Publication management team’. The ‘Editorial board’ of “Bioinformatics Trends” comprises of a team of out-side subject experts nominated by the ‘Bioinformatics Institute of India’. The ‘Publication management team’ comprises of the Director of ‘Bioinformatics Institute of India’, and his support team comprising of a senior executive from ‘Bioinformatics Institute of India’ and local experts/out side subject experts appointed/nominated by the Director, ‘Bioinformatics Institute of India’. Director, ‘Bioinformatics Institute of India’ is empowered to choose and nominate subject experts in the Publication management team’ from the “Bioinformatics Trends” aforesaid ‘Editorial board’. The ‘Editorial board’ is the competent authority in taking decision(s) on selection or rejection of a manuscript. The Publication management team of “Bioinformatics Trends” is empowered to resolve the conflicts (if any) arising out of the decisions taken by the Editorial board and are referred to it by any author or a fellow editorial board member. It is fully responsible for publishing finally accepted manuscripts and maintaining the “Bioinformatics Trends” publication timelines. The ‘Manuscript management System’ through the stipulated policies/guidelines, attempts to provide the ‘Editorial board’ and the ‘Publication management team’ a tool to monitor the status from, submission, selection, pre-screening (initial quick) detailed review (main screening), refereeing to the acceptance/ rejection of a manuscript. The policy may change with or without notice to the authors/contributors of this journal. The decision of “Bioinformatics Trends” in respect of management of a manuscript in every step is taken as final.
