Program Overview

Bioinformatics is not limited to its application in biological sciences but is also knocking the doors of other domains of science. The individual who wants to develop a career in bioinformatics cannot limit to distance learning but for better economic pursuits he has to have the practical industry oriented knowledge of subject.

Career Prospects in Bioinformatics:

Bioinformatics is the new global wave. Companies and Governments in the business of developing drugs, agriculture, chemicals, hybrid plants, plastics, petroleum derivatives, Information technology among others are developing Bioinformatics divisions and looking to it to provide new avenues and research output to help replace scarce natural resources.     Program Overview          

    The total revolution of biological and chemical sciences has resulted into new concepts in pharmaceutical sciences giving rise to importance of regulations for the new products. Regulatory Affairs (RA) is an upcoming profession within the biomedical / health products sector. RA profession at its heart is all about Collecting, Analyzing and Communicating the Risks and Benefits of health care products to regulatory agencies and public all over the world. In an organization their prime responsibilities involves preparation and presentation of registration documents to regulatory agencies and carry out all following discussion to obtain and maintain marketing authorization (MA) for the products concerned.
    BII has introduced the course as the education and knowledge would able to benefit the academia as well as the industry and the jobseekers. BII caters as a bridge between the high-potential research with academia and industry which is an utmost need because of cost and time barriers.

    Course Curriculum :

    Module-I Introduction to Pharmaceutics

    Module-II Pharma Regulation Practices and Procedures

    Module-III Pharma Patents, IPR and Regulation

    Module-IV Clinical Trials and Regulation

    Module-V Pharma Regulatory Regime in USA, EU and India

    Module-VI Regulatory Compliance for Pharma and Biotech Products
    Module-VII Reserch Study

    Program Duration :

    Program Duration for Advance Program Six Month

    Total Duration (Class room + PGDB/PGDC ) is one year

    Program Eligibility

    The eligibilty for the training program is graduation in any discipline.Highly interested participants in final year can also apply.

    Attendance

    A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory, failing which the students will be debarred from appearing in any examination and he/she will have to repeat the term.

    Discipline

    Students are expected to follow the code of discipline failing which action, as considered necessary, including rustication may be taken at the discretion of the Director. These rules are displayed on the notice board

    Evaluation

    At the end of the duration of a program, participants will through a well defined evaluation process for both Advance Program in Bioinformatics and PG Diploma in Bioinformatics.

    Fee Structure

    Total Course Fee Rs. 40,000 (Installment facility available).

    Program Completion

    After the successful completion of the program the candidate will obtain

    1.) PG Diploma in Bioinformatics/Cheminformatics (Jamia Hamdard University)

    2.) Advanced Program in Bioinformatics/Pharma Regulatory Affairs (BII).

    Admission Procedure

    • Submission of Application Form along with the demand draft of Rs. 300 /- in favor of Bioinformatics Institute of India, payable at Delhi / Noida.
    • Enclosures :
      • Mark sheets: Two sets of Xerox copies of Mark-sheets of qualifying/last  attended examination
      • High School, Higher Secondary (10+2), Graduation, Post Graduation.
      • Photographs: Two recent passport size photographs.
      • Envelopes Three Self Addressed Envelopes, duly Stamped should be enclosed   with the application form.
    • Personnel & Telephonic Interview.
