The mission of BII is to act as center of Research and Development in the field of Bioinformatics & its allied areas. BII facilitates Bioinformatics research and education by conducting Bioinformatics and Biotechnology research studies that focuses on the recent trends and development in the field of Bioinformatics. This will provide ample opportunity to the students, professionals to develop an expertise in the field of Bioinformatics and its practical applications. The aim of the research study is to bring together researchers working in the field of Bioinformatics to exchange recent trends in this subject. The main goal is to facilitate interaction between the experimental and theoretical communities in Bioinformatics research thus to get an overview of state -of-art in this field. Studies would be carried out under the supervision of expert and experienced faculty. The Project work would provide a platform to the students to develop original research ideas and practical experiences in the areas related to the analysis of the biological data and its impact in the field of Pharmaco-Genetics, Molecular medicine, data visualization and representation etc. Students would have hands on experience on the use of Bioinformatics tools and statistical methods for the biological data analysis and interpretation. This Project work would have additional benefit for the students in order to get familiarize with the Biological data its storage analysis and to understand the mechanism involved to extract information from the available resources related to protein structure function, genetics, and gene function analysis and about the techniques employed. The students would have become competent as per industry demand by the project work experience resulting into new job avenues. The research study would help to develop new method for the computational analysis of the Biological Information and generate the tools to investigate the problems related to the biomedical, genetics etc. Above all the project work area has been decided by BII to develop the information relevant for the industry and skilled people who can contribute to the development of Bioinformatics.
